Will Apple accept logicboard which was attempted to be repaired?
Hello,
I would like to ask if anyone has experience with the Apple self repair service program. If I were to order a logic board through this service, the price would be approximately 1500 euro, but in the description it is written that if I return the original board to the Apple, they will refund me 950 euro, so the price of the board would be only 550 euro. Is there any way to find out in advance whether the given money will be returned to me? Will it bother them that someone tried to repair the board before (one connector is unsoldered from the board, otherwise everything is on it)?
Thank you for all answers

I'm curious to know the answer to this too! Maybe you can ask Apple anonymously through their chat support or support phone number?

@andrejprac54976 Your comments did confuse me (but that is easily done ;-). Let me see if this will help. The connector in Question is reference designator JP400 and it is the FaceTime camera connection. Not connected to your LCD backlight but it does connect ot the ambient light sensor. It is an iPex 20875-028E-01 connector and these are the connections
