Camera Won't Turn On
No matter what you do, you can't get your camera to turn on.
Drained/Dead batteries
The most likely problem is that your batteries are dead and need to be replaced. Replace with two AA batteries.

Battery Connections
It is possible that the traces connecting the battery have become disconnected. Connections have to be checked and repaired.
Power Button Connection
It is possible that the wires connecting the power button are disconnected. Connections need to be checked and repaired.

Lens Won't Open/Close
When turning the camera on, the lens does not extend, or when turning the camera off, the lens does not retract.
Low Battery

Flash Doesn't Work
When taking a photo, the flash does not discharge.
Flash Setting is Turned Off
Check that the flash settings are turned on. To access the flash menu, press the Right Arrow button while in one of the "still-photo modes".
Low Battery
The flash may not discharge if the batteries are too low. Replace with two AA batteries and check again.

Video Output Won't Work

Ensure Correct Video Output Setting
Depending on the territory your display is from, your output settings may need to change. Press the "Menu" button, and select the "Setup" option, scroll down to the last option on the second page, change to NTSC for United States and PAL for Europe.
