Pantech Breakout Will Not Charge

You have plugged in your phone and it is not charging.

Bad Outlet

Try plugging the charger into another outlet or flipping a switch to turn the outlet on.

Battery/Charger Connection

The connection between the charger and phone may also be seated incorrectly. Unplug the cord from the port and plug it back in. Do the same with the wall connection. The battery may not be seated into the battery terminals correctly. Try taking the battery out and putting it back into place by following the Pantech Breakout Battery Replacement Guide.

Broken Charger

Clean the charger of all debris and inspect for any damage or cracking, then try plugging it back in. If that does not work, the charger may be broken and you will have to replace it.

Dead Battery

The battery may not able to hold a charge. You will need to replace your battery. Follow the Pantech Breakout Battery Replacement Guide.

Pantech Breakout Will Not Turn On

You have tried turning on your phone and nothing is happening.

Drained Battery

If your phone does not turn on, the battery may be very low on charge. Plug your phone into the charger, wait 5 minutes, and try turning on the phone. If that does not work, wait until the phone is fully charged, then try again.

Dead Battery

If charging the battery does not work, the battery may be completely dead and not able to hold a charge. In this case you will need to replace the battery. Refer to the Pantech Breakout Battery Replacement Guide.

Battery Connection/No Battery

The battery may not be seated into the phone correctly. Ensure there is a battery present. Remove it and put it back in to ensure correct placement. Try turning the phone on again. Follow the Pantech Breakout Battery Replacement Guide.

Pantech Breakout Is Frozen

Phone is on, but is stuck on a screen and will not respond.

Phone Needs to be Restarted

Try to restart the phone by pressing and holding the end call button. If this does not work you can force a hard reset by removing the battery, reinserting it, and turning the device on again. Follow the Pantech Breakout Battery Replacement Guide.

LCD Screen Needs to be Replaced

If the screen is frozen or part of the screen is discolored, you might need to replace the LCD screen. This problem could be a result of water damage or a faulty part.

Slow Or Delayed Pantech Breakout

The phone is lagging and is not responding quickly to commands

Overworking Phone

The phone may be slow due to the amount of work it is trying to perform. Restart the phone and try again.

Too Much Data Stored on Phone

You may have too much information stored in the memory of your phone. Delete data (e.g. text messages, music, pictures etc.).

Needs to be Reset to Default Settings

Restore the phone by resetting to factory defaults. From the home screen, tap 'Apps'. Tap 'Settings', then 'Factory data reset', then 'Reset phone', and then 'Erase everything'. (CAUTION: this will erase all current settings and restore it back to the original factory settings.)

Motherboard or Network Problem

If the phone is still slow, there is probably something wrong with the network or motherboard. This will require help from your network provider to fix. To remove the motherboard, refer to the Pantech Breakout Motherboard Replacement Guide.

Memory Card Is Not Loading

Pantech Breakout does not save or read data.

Absent Memory Card

Check to see if the memory card is inside the phone. If not, then find a memory card and follow the Pantech Breakout Micro SD/SIM Card Replacement Guide to insert card.

Card Inserted Incorrectly

Safely remove the card from the device and put it back in. Refer to Pantech Breakout Micro SD/SIM Card Replacement Guide. If this is not working then the phone may need to be restarted.

Data Overload

Check the settings on your phone to see if the card has too much data on it; in this case some of the storage may need to be deleted for the phone to process it. Review troubleshooting for "Too Much Data Stored on Phone".

Memory Card is Broken

Try putting in a working memory card to see if it is the card reader inside the phone that is the problem or if it is the card itself. If the card is broken, the memory card will need to be replaced. If the card reader is broken, it will need to be replaced. Refer to Pantech Breakout Micro SD/SIM Card Replacement Guide.
