Outer Casing Cracked or Damaged
The outer casing is physically damaged, cracked, or blemished.
Damaged Outer Casing
You can easily separate the outer casing from the internal camera components. Doing this may allow you to either replace or separately repair the casing. Click here for a casing replacement guide.
Camera Will Not Function or Turn On
The camera will not turn on, take photos, or operate properly.
Dead Battery
Replace the batteries with new ones, and try to turn on system again.
Broken Circuit Board
If the camera is completely unresponsive and the issue is not due to physical malfunctions you may potentially want to replace the circuit board layer or parts of the board. Following the lens replacement guide will allow you to access the circuit board.
LCD Screen Will Not Turn On
'The screen remains black even when the power is turned on."
Replace Broken Display

Lens Will Not Retract Or Respond
"The lens will not retract, respond, optically zoom, or function properly."
Dust or Dirt Jammed in Lens
Make sure to clean the lens unit and make sure there is no dirt or dust jamming the lens movement. You can use a compressed air duster or toothbrush to clean this.
Malfunctioning Lens Unit
If the lens component is not working properly (won't retract or zoom) - replacing the entire lens unit may become an option. Click here for a lens replacement guide.
Can't Close or Open Battery or Rubber Doors
"The batter or rubber doors will not shut tightly."
Dust or Dirt Jammed
Make sure to clean the door hinges and sockets. You can use a compressed air duster or toothbrush to clean this.
Misaligned Hinges

Broken Battery or Rubber Doors
