Weinmann VENTImotion and VENTIlogic Ventilator Troubleshooting

The water in the ventilator’s humidifier remains cold even after the device has been turned on for a while.

Test the Ventilator with another humidifier to confirm whether or not the

current one is defective. If it is defective, return it to the manufacturer

Test to see if the power board is defective by considering these other

issues: there is no running noise and displays will not show up or when in

automatic mode, the device cannot be switched on by a breath being

taken in. If these 2 other issues are also occurring, replace the power

board (see Weinmann VENTImotion and VENTIlogic Power Board Replacement) and return it to the

manufacturer.

The displays shown on the screen of the ventilator are inaccurate or nothing is showing.

Replace Display (see Weinmann VENTImotion and VENTIlogic Display Board Replacement)

Check all cable connections in device; replace if necessary

Test to see if the control board is defective by considering these other

issues: Tolerance of therapy pressures is >0.6 hPa after 1 minute, in

automatic mode or device cannot be switched on by a breath being taken

in. If these 2 other issues are also occurring, replace the control board

(see Weinmann VENTImotion and VENTIlogic Control Board Replacement)

When the ventilator is turned on, the screen is black and there is no noise coming from the machine.

Check connection of Power Supply cable in the device socket. Check the

source of voltage with another device (for example; a lamp). Replace

power supply cable if necessary.

Replace main supply unit (see VENTImotion & VENTIlogic Service and Repair Instructions , page 33)

Check all cable connections in the device; replace if necessary.

Test to see if the control board is defective by considering these other

issues: Tolerance of therapy pressures is >0.6 hPa after 1 minute, in

automatic mode or device cannot be switched on by a breath being taken

in. If these 2 other issues are also occurring, replace the control board

(see Weinmann VENTImotion and VENTIlogic Control Board Replacement).

Test to see if the power board is defective by considering these other

issues: the humidifier will not heat up or the device cannot be switched on

by a breath being taken in. If these 2 other issues are also occurring,

replace the power board (see Weinmann VENTImotion and VENTIlogic Power Board Replacement) and

return it to the manufacturer.

Device will not power on when the power button on the film keypad is pressed.

Check whether the ribbon cable is correctly connected to the display

board.

The Power Supply Cable is Not Providing Power
