The Canon PowerShot A480 contains a 10 Mega Pixel sensor at 2.5 inches. The camera records in color, and houses a 115,000 pixel LCD screen at the back. For the internals, the A480 is installed with Canon's DIGIC III processor. In addition you will find the camera is capable of motion and face detection.

Background
It weighing only 140 grams which is 1/4th the size of its predecessors. This compact body helps first-time users easily operate the camera with no troubles. The camera is manufactured in one of four colors which is black, silver, blue, or red. Due to how the camera could be programed its shutter speed can be adjusted to user preference. Earned the PC Magazine Service and Reliability award on September 2, 2010. The physical body as well is more box-like for this model unlike the rectangular shape of the A470. Identification
The A480 was released in March 2009, and meant to be the successor to the PowerShot A470.
