Background
The Roomba 880 is the fifth-generation vacuum released by the iRobot company in November 2013. The 880 can be programmed to clean on a schedule and can navigate between up to three rooms It is designed to clean on a variety of surfaces and in hard-to-reach areas. The Roomba 880 features a handle and a circular, black user interface on the top of the robot vacuum.
Identification
The Roomba 880 can be distinguished from other models by its two virtual wall “lighthouses” and remote control. It has a round body made of black plastic, while the Roomba 860 has a silver finish. Another less obvious difference is that the Roomba 880 includes an XLife battery, which provides longer battery life.
The iRobot Roomba logo is printed on the top of the device, and Clean is stamped on the silver power button in the center of the top panel. It measures 13.9 × 13.9 × 3.6 inches and weighs 8.4 pounds. You can find the model number R880020 and other product information on a label on the bottom of the vacuum.
