Replace bluetooth module with bluetooth module supporting bluetooth 4

Hello there. I have Macbook Pro Mid 2010. Internal bluetooth module in this model does not support Bluetooth 4. I would like to know if I can find some internal bluetooth module which will support Bluetooth 4 and will be compatible with my Macbook.

I was looking on the internet and found nothing. I was looking on bluetooth repair guides of newer Macbook and BT modules look same. But that's only look. So if anybody knows about internal BT4 module which would be compatible with my Macbook that would be great. Thanks.

Options

Your unit has the following: AirPort Extreme (802.11a/b/g/n) and Bluetooth 2.1+EDR standard. Here's the IFIXIT guide to see how to replace it: MacBook Pro 15" Unibody Mid 2010 AirPort/Bluetooth Board Replacement

You'll need to find a Mid '12 15" MacBook Pro AirPort/BlueTooth board which is the same size and offers Bluetooth 4.0 services. But, it offers MIMO WiFi (3 antenna Vs 2) so the WiFi services won't work correctly unless you swap out the display assembly as well (it has the antenna). You might consider looking for a used Mid '12 MacBook Pro system and selling yours given the differences.

I have the same question but in my case it's about a early 2011 MacBook Pro 13" (MacBookPro8,1). Will I be able to use Handoff/continuity if I install the card that you sell online (MacBook Pro Unibody (Early 2011/Late 2011/Mid 2012) Airport/Bluetooth Board)? Is it this one: BCM94331PCIEBT4CAX 607-8958?
