How to run logic board out of laptop?

I have a broken logic that appreantly powers on. However I don’t have a complete laptop to put the logic board in. I tried plugging a MagSafe up and display port to the board and a hard drive with the connector. When I short the pins up the board powers on no display then the fans go max. I just found out that the fans will go max if no trackpad is connected which it isn’t. Is there anything else I need connected to the board to get it running.

What are you trying to do here? You really need the rest of the system to make this work.

Options

No need to bother about the fans..if screen doesn't light up at boot you either have a no image or a no backlight issue. However you should see the question mark folder shining a torch light to screen if it's just a backlight fault. If you don't have backlight or an image, matter is complicated enough in any case..if you're not a pro it would take you days or more to figure out what's faulty..
