ASUS P8H61-M LX3 Plus R2.0 No display on this motherboard?
i've been messing with my computer for a bit, but for some reason it's just decided to stop showing any display on the screen. at all.
i don't see any reason it would as it just happened while i was messing in the BIOS, and the settings weren't saved yet. and yes, i've attempted to reset the BIOS settings through the manual's jumper method and removing the CMOS battery, but all it did was make the computer confused on startup. i've also attempted to just have it run for a long time in desperation, but no change
edit: before someone asks, No, i don't think the computer isn't booting as i know it is (the hard drives were warm when i opened it up one time), it's just refusing to make an output for no reason
edit edit: i should elaborate: by confused, i mean it's turning off and turning back on in an attempt to properly boot (which it eventually does... still without display output)

Hi @pwns2009
When you removed the cmos battery, did you then press and hold the power On button for 30 seconds before reinserting the battery?
Also was the AC power disconnected from the PSU before you did this?

@jayeff all of that, and i kept the CMOS battery outside of the slot for more than 30 minutes just in case

Is the monitor connected to a GPU card's video port or the motherboard's vga port?
If a GPU card, have the monitor got a vga input?
Maybe try that in case there's a problem with the GPU card.
Just verifying that you've proved that the monitor is working OK?

@jayeff there's no GPU, i'm using integrated graphics, which worked fine until it stopped displaying on the screen. as a test, i did insert the GPU from my main PC and it didn't show an output either.
as for the monitor, yes, both the motherboard and display have VGA, which i was already using, and the monitor definitely works by the fact i'm currently using it to type this comment on my main computer :)

Try disconnecting the C: drive (or all the HDDs) from the motherboard and check if there's a display, either a message (hopefully no OS found) or if there a display in BIOS
Just because the HDDs are warm doesn't mean that the PC is booting. They're turned on at startup.
The motherboard has to pass POST first (power on self test) before booting the OS
Is the case's HDD activity light blinking, staying on etc after starting the PC? That's one way to tell if its booting i.e. OS is loading
