Does your UE Boom portable speaker no longer turn on when you press the power button? UE Boom speakers are susceptible to a range of problems that could cause them to fail to turn on. Check the following possible causes to identify and solve the problem.

Speaker is Not Charged
If you saw a red light on your speaker before it stopped turning on, your speaker is most likely not charged. Plug the charger cable into the MiniUSB port located on the side of the speaker. Plug the other end of the charging cable into a laptop or the included power outlet adapter, and allow the device to charge for four to five hours.
Speaker Needs Factory Reset
If the speaker is refusing to charge, it may need a factory reset. Press and hold down both the volume button and the power button for about ten seconds or until you hear the speaker make a sound. After the sound, the speaker should turn off. Now, try turning the speaker on again.
Faulty USB Port
If you have tried charging and resetting your speaker, and it will still not turn on, you may be dealing with a faulty USB port. Try using the speaker’s USB cable and plugging the UE Boom into your computer (note that software may automatically install for the USB connection). Try turning your speaker on while it is connected to the computer, then disconnect the speaker and turn the power off. Then, try turning the speaker on again.
If you have followed these steps and the speaker still refuses to charge or turn on, you may need to replace the speaker’s USB port. Use the UE Boom USB Port replacement guide to replace the speaker’s USB port.
Speaker Needs New Battery
If you have charged the speaker and it still will not turn on, your speaker’s battery may have reached the end of its lifespan. Use the UE Boom Lithium Battery replacement guide for instructions to replace the speaker’s battery. Note that replacing the battery will void the speaker’s warranty.

My ue boom won’t charge, when plugged in and I try to turn it on it says Charging please wait however the light isn’t flashing and it won’t do a factory reset.. what do I do ?

My ue boom will not turn on unless it’s plugged into the wall adapter or usb port of my laptop. It has 100% charge. It also will sync to my iPhone automatically when plugged into my laptop. I’ve tried to reset it but nothing I’ve tried works. Anyone else have this problem

I have a similar problem. I bought two of these at once and only one is playing up. I thought that it was a battery issue so got a new battery without success. Seems to come on says its charging and to please wait but then I get a red light on top like the battery is flat. My other unit is charging just fine still.
