I accidentally spilled a bottle of essential oil inside my bag with my iPod Touch still inside.
It works fine...for now but there is large oilstain marks (like pockets of oil) inside the screen and everything is a lot darker.
Will it dry out over time or should I try to open it and clean the screen out. I don't want it to short circuit randomly one day.
I plugged it into my computer in hopes that the heat will warm and dry the oil inside...Would this be a good idea?

I had some hair oil in my bag and I forgot to close the lid while my iPod was in the bag and the oil got in side my iPod and my screen is dark and has oil spots on it how can I get it out? Or is it better to replace the screen and how much is it? If anyone can answer my question that would be amazing!' Thanks (::

Is it safe to buy used or refurbished devices since FaceID could work and the FaceID parts could be aftermarket or third-party FaceID parts? Why does Apple allow FaceID parts to be replaced with aftermarket or third-party parts and still keep FaceID working?
I have noticed a lot of people have bought Amazon Renewed iPhones. I have been watching a lot of videos on YouTube about Amazon renewed iPhones and seen a lot of people think it’s a good value and are happy with their phones. I also see people that buy used or refurbished iPhones elsewhere. I do want to state I am autistic, so I worry a lot and I'm sorry in advance. I just want to feel and be normal. Anyways, the people that buy these refurbished and used iPhones have jobs, are college students, and just are all kinds of different people. I just don’t understand how their eyes and/or skin has not been damaged since a lot of them have gotten iPhone models that have FaceID. From my understanding people have told me you can replace FaceID parts like the dot projector or IR camera with a aftermarket or third-party part and FaceID will still work. Although Apple says this is not safe and can cause injury to your eyes or skin. Apple says "Improper repair, modification, or use of nongenuine Apple components in the laser systems might prevent the safety mechanisms from functioning properly, and could cause hazardous exposure and injury to eyes or skin." So what I don't understand is why does Apple even allow FaceID to work and continue to function if FaceID parts have been replaced with aftermarket or third party FaceID parts which then prevent the safety mechanisms from working. Why not just put safety measures in place to disable FaceID if aftermarket or third-party FaceID parts are used to begin with? How Apple phrases it makes it seem like if you replace FaceID with aftermarket or third-party FaceID parts it will continue to function and disable safety features and then be unsafe, unknowingly to people that don't know their FaceID parts are aftermarket or third-party parts. Especially those who buy used or refurbished. So I am very concerned and wondering how all of those people who have bought Amazon Renewed, refurbished or used iPhones don’t have damage to their eyes, vision or skin. They would not know whether or not the FaceID parts are original or the FaceID parts are aftermarket or third-party parts. Especially if FaceID works. I do not understand how these people don't have damage to their eyes or skin. They wouldn’t know the difference between the original FaceID parts and aftermarket or third-party parts. They just assume that since it works it is safe. I am not so sure though because people have been telling me you can use FaceID parts that are not the original parts. Although I really do want to try and get a refurbished iPhone in the future just to try it because I love reviews and YouTube reviews and it has made me very curious. Most people I have seen are pretty happy with the phone they have gotten, even though it has FaceID and can be dangerous, if FaceID works and the parts are not original, and instead are aftermarket or third-party parts.
I just want to be able to use FaceID and also know the parts are genuine and the original parts and are safe and be able to experience using a refurbished iPhone like others have been able to do. If FaceID works does that mean the parts are original and genuine and safe? Would it not work if the FaceID parts were aftermarket or third-party FaceID parts?
Thanks for reading all of this or parts of it.

I left the PS4 running with a game playing. A person in our household sees it and proceeds to unplug the power cord from the outlet (without exiting anything or turning off the PS4). Now I tried turning on the PS4 but it doesn't respond, either through the controller or the power button.
The power button literally doesn't do anything; and if the PS4 is plugged in, the controller light blinks twice or thrice then stops as if it has turned on the PS4 already. (but when the PS4 is unplugged, it only keeps blinking) When I press the eject button, it only beeped once.
I've tried various solutions around the internet such as holding the power button, replugging both power cord and HDMI, trying another outlet and power cord, and tilting it different ways. I was able to manually eject the disc inside, which causes the eject button to beep 3 times now.
I've seen people say that it could be a power supply issue, so I went ahead and bought one online since the warranty is void already. After replacing the power supply, nothing changed. Still the same symptoms.
Anyone here who can help me fix the PS4 or at least give me an indication as to what the problem could be?

I just had the same problem as you, the power button doesn’t do anything, the disc ejection beeps 3 times, and then I just took any game disc, shoved it in the tray and it started!

Hello,
I have an IPhone 5 that I got from someone to fix and keep. Currently everything on the phone works except for when I plug in headphones the music when someone is singing is very distorted. I have restored the phone, cleaned the headphone jack, and tried different headphones. The other weird thing is if I pull the headphone out a bit it sounds perfect. Then I push it in and it is distorted sounds like someone is underwater.
Background I had to replace the screen it was cracked the rear camera had black and purples spots so I replaced that and the home button was not working. I also chose to replace the back and middle housing as it was very badly abused.
I only finished working on it last night didn't have the gusto to open it up and check the connector. Any help is greatly appreciated, thanks.
Ben

Both models are 4th gen. 32 gb and in black.

iPod 4th gen. Screen cracked. Replaced the screen per instructions. Initially the screen came up white. I cold booted it and got the Apple logo. I ended up having to pull the screen back up to peel off the protective covering on the back of the LCD--I believe the unit was on when I did this--the top video cable came undone, but I plugged it back in and sealed her up with the 3M tape.
It's been white screen ever since.
I've done everything:
--Home button + power button reset = White
--Home button + volume up + power reset = White
--Put it in recovery and reload the firmware = White
--I've pulled it apart and shorted out terminal 3 of the battery to reset = White
--I've put a total of 3 displays (owner bought the first, I bought 2 more because I felt bad) on this ipod thinking I had bad displays and other than that FIRST time of seeing the apple logo, they've all = White
--This last time, I went all out and pulled the rear-camera cable out of the back of the board so I could lift the board up high enough to make sure the video cable was seated correctly and...
White.
The computer recognizes it. It allows me to set it up through iTunes. It detects recovery mode and re-loads the firmware.
IT'S STILL WHITE!!
I was careful. I didn't torque anything. I didn't even rip the volume cable in the 50 times I opened this thing. What could I have damaged that caused the permanent white display?
Oups ! J'ai changé d'avis.
