Background
The Skytex Skypad Alpha 2 is a midsize, multipurpose tablet. It was released on March 2nd 2011, complete with a 7-inch LCD touchscreen with a resolution of 800x480 pixels. The tablet product number is SX-SP715A4. The tablet is compact and lightweight with a gunmetal grey exterior. The lithium polymer rechargeable battery provides a 6-hour battery life of continuous use. There is 4 GB of storage on the stock model, but up to 32 GB of storage possible via a microSD card; the memory card is an optional feature. Other hardware features on the tablet include:
- Webcam (1.4 MP)
- Microphone
- Speaker
- HDMI port (1.4 mini)
- USB port (micro)
- Headphone jack
The tablet comes with the following software capabilities:
- Android 2.3 Operating System
- Wi-Fi capabilities
- Cortex A8 processor
- 512 MB RAM
Adobe Flash is supported for the Skypad Alpha 2, allowing for gaming and watching videos. “1 Mobil Market” is the standard application store for the tablet.
Identification
The Skytex Skypad Alpha 2 has a 7-inch screen and a dark gray bottom case. You can identify the tablet by the Skytex logo printed in the upper-left corner of the screen. Three control symbols are printed at the bottom center of the touchscreen. The Skytex logo and Alpha 2 name are printed near the bottom of the back case, with the model and serial number printed below.
