Hello everyone I am a certified HP Dell and lenovo onsite warranty service technician. If you have any of those laptops under warranty, the cost is covered 100 percent by the manufacture. When you begin to love your laptop and take good care of it it should last 3 to 5 years. Now here's the part that becomes very interesting. All manufactures have one year warranty for all parts covered that fail to operate. I am not speaking of accidental damages like water spillage or drop on the floor scenarios. That is why you buy ADP (Accidental Damage Protection) plans to keep your laptop running. They usually cost between $200 to $500 depending on the model laptop for a 3 years ADP protection. Keep in mind , you are paying for only accidental damages plus it covers your parts after their one year warranty expires. This is the best way to save your money instead of running around looking to find a shop get your laptop repaired charge ridiculously high prices. I know most will not buy ADP plans at the time of purchase of a new laptop. Do yourself a favor, buy it or face the consequences of your new laptop costing you a lot of money in repairs.
