As it is booting up keep tapping F8 to get to the Windows boot menu. Choose start in safe mode. If it will start and run in safe mode we know it is an operating system error. If it freezes in safe mode it is more than likely a hardware issue related to overheating. If such is the case we will need your service tag number to better advise you on possible problems and how to possibly solve them.
