Hi, I have the new MAC MINI ordered on the apple store (OS X 10.7.1, 2.7Ghz intel core i7 and 8Go 1333Mhz Memory DD3with the Video card AMD Radeon HD 6630M 256 MB). I also have the CINEMA HD 30" and a Thunderbold 27".
The Apple support suggested me to buy the Dual Link cable, as the mini DVI only gave me 1/4 of the screen resolution output (i.e. 1280 x 800 ...).
So with the Dual link, the 30" Cinema HD works perfectly.
But the problem is that the Thunderbold 27"is connected on the same Thunderbold port...
So, the only solution I have found for the 2 screens is to have the new Thunderbold 27" on the thunderbold port and the 30" on the HDMI to DVI cable. BUT ... in this case the 30" resolution is a fourth of what it should be (1280 x 800 px) ... . very very frustrating !!
And the Dual Link cable is then useless.
Is there anotehr solution ?? Doesn't exist a HDMI "like to dual link) cable that would allow me to have the two screens in full resolution ???
Does the mac mini supports both resolution ?
Before buying it on the Apple Store they told me yes, of course... .
But on the Apple support, ... some are good and unfortunately some are not and the quality of the answer is not always top.
If some of you have a solution, please let me know. Using a 30" screen at 1280x800 (like a 13" standard screen) .. is very very very frustrating.
Thank you for your help !
