Hello everyone… I’ve just stumbled on this thread… wondering if you can help me with my issue with the Sony Digital Camera ZV-1? It would be great of you could![br]
[br]
I love the camera, and most of the time it works fine. I’m using it to produce yoga videos from my home studio. So the set up is all very fixed with few variables… [br]
[br]
• the camera sits in the same spot on it’s tripod on my windowsill. [br]
• the room is always the same moderate temperature[br]
• I plug the camera cable into the mains - so I guess it isn’t a battery issue.[br]
• I have a huge memory card[br]
• the camera is new[br]
• I film 90 minute videos - most of the time it works perfectly! But…[br]
• There is a dreaded intermittent fault which is presenting a real problem. Every once in w while, for no discernable reason and with all the same fixed settings that work fine, the camera decides to turn it off in the middle of the class I’m filming.[br]
• I’ve read through the manual, through Help… I just can’t find an explanation for this and it’s really throwing a spanner in the video delivery I have promised my customers. [br]
• the only workaround I can find to ensure I can film the whole class on every occsion is to run my old camera at the same time as a back up. Given the price I paid for my new Sony ZV-1 I don’t feel this is an acceptable solution. [br]
• I’m wondering if there is a fault in the camera… it simply triggers the power off function erratically and inappropriately under normal temperate conditions.[br]
• can you suggest any possible fixes? [br]
• should I try returning the camera under guarantee because it has an intermittent malfunction that screws up my work flow?[br]
[br]
Would really love some help.[br]
Kind regards,[br]
Frances
