Brilliant! I replaced the battery in my Early 2015 13" MacBook Pro and my keyboard and trackpad stopped working, but bluetooth worked. A quick Google search landed me on this page. I ordered a $10 ribbon cable from Amazon, it arrived the next day, I installed it and boom, I'm back in business! My keyboard and trackpad are back online. So grateful for this thread. Saved me a trip (and LOTSA money) to the Genius bar.

PRO TIPS:

# Whilst you have the back cover off, use canned air to gently clean the fan, logic board, and vents. Also clean the inside of the back cover. One of the primary reasons the fan whirls and sounds like a semi-truck is because the fan and vents accumulate dust.

# When removing the back cover, most likely you'll strip one of the pentalobe screws. Not to be worried. You can purchase a complete set including a magnetic screwdriver on Amazon for $9.99. From experience, don't try to reuse the screws; you'll only get frustrated.
