Carefully lift up the board from the left-hand side allowing it to 'hinge' on the metallic ribbon connector you have just noted and allow it to lay flat
Is this a HTC Wildfire S or Wildfire?
That's not HTC Wildfire S.
It's the previous model HTC Wildfire.

Nice detailing of the teardown steps but the phone shown here is a regular HTC Wildfire (HTC G8) and not the latter HTC Wildfire S (HTC G13). Apparently, the orignal Wildfire has two variants (A3333 and A310e). Each variant uses a different digitizer (the touch glass panel on top of the actual LCD). If you need to buy a replacement digitizer, verify if your variant has an IC on the digitizer ribbon cable or not. On my phone, the shattered original digitizer had no IC on the ribbon and when I replaced it with one that had one, the phone wouldn’t recognize the touch inpupts.
Nice! If you wanna recycle any mobile screen you can contact LCD's Buyers
Thanks
