-[* black] On the replacement cord, remove the white, green, and black protective caps. Affix one lug to each cord wire.
-[* black] Twist the copper wiring on one cord wire. Cleanly insert it into the lug.
-[* black] Push the copper wiring into the lug, until it is slightly meshed at the top.
-[* black] Repeat the two previous steps for the other cord wires.
+[* black] FIRST IMAGE: this is a 16-22 gauge connector (or spaded lug) that slips over the contacts on the power coupling. The 'gauge' refers to the wire size for which the lug connector is designed to fit.
+[* black] SECOND IMAGE: On the replacement cord, remove the white, green, and black protective caps. Affix one lug to each cord wire.
+ [* black] Twist the copper strands on one of the wires so as to cleanly insert it into the connector.
+ [* black] Push the copper wiring into the connector until the insulation prevents further insertion.
