Greetings Ali, This is a symptom of a failing ac clutch on your vehicle. It could also be low refrigerant in the system but more often than not its a failing AC clutch and or pump. AC is difficult to diagnose via text but i will do my best to help you out. I need a little more information about your vehicle though how about the engine size and the sticker under the hood should also say how many lbs of refrigerant your car would take as well as what kind of refrigerant. ie R134 or R12 etc. Let me know Cheers!! Monte
Plus d'informationGreetings, Waref A proper function vehicle should be drivable within the first 30 seconds of starting. If the vehicle has been cold or sitting I usually start the vehicle and allow the speed of the motor to reduce before i attempt to engage the vehicle into gear and begin driving. This does allow time for the car to adjust to the temperature start circulating its fluids and come to a reasonable RPM before putting it into gear. I suggest getting in starting the vehicle and then proceeding to put on your seatbelt, put up your phone, put on your glasses adjust any mirror and temps in the car then doing a thorough mirror check before placing the car into gear. Those steps are more than sufficient to give your vehicle time to warm up before proceeding. Cheers!! Monte
Plus d'informationGreetings Sweetnsimple, It is highly likely that the cable has either come out of the groove on the door handle, the handle has broken all together or the cable is broken. Usually it is just the plastic compartment that holds the cable and not the actual cable. I am attaching a video of how to replace this component. You did not give a year or complete model for your vehicle so i selected the model years 2007-2017 which shouldn't differ to much from your vehicle. Video of changing part. - Video of changing part Good luck with your repair!! ask me additional questions if you need to. Cheers!! Moe
Plus d'informationGreetings Dillip, The first thing I would do is check for vacuum line leaks and do a Throttle Body Adaptation. (1) Disconnect battery for 30 mins. (2) Reconnect (3) Turn key to on for 15 secs ( You will hear clicking as the adaptation is going on ). Start engine If it doesn't improve, check again for vacuum leaks. - If no vacuum leaks can be found. Scan the car with an OBD scanner and check the O2 sensor. Report back with the results and let me know. Cheers!! Moe
Plus d'informationRhonron, I am sorry to hear this and on a supra, That is a major bummer. What are you looking at doing from here. do you want a basic set of instructions to rebuild the motor yourself? are you going to purchase a new, reconditioned or junkyard motor to replace the motor? Also it is really helpful if you could give me exact year, model and motor to help me recommend the correct parts. I kind of need to know what route you want to go and what your skill level and tool kit size is and what budget you have to move forward. I won't say you can't do it on your own in your garage as many years ago i did it on my first car when i threw a rod through my oil pan from pretending i was a race car driver. lol I was only 16 but had resources in the way of my father and grandfather for knowledge. Basically what i am saying here is better make sure your bus pass is good as driving it for awhile is not an option. in any event you are looking at between $3500 and $4000 to get a replacement block and up. Replacement block 2...
Plus d'informationGreetings Jorge, This typically happens when there is a loose float unit, bad connections, or faulty sending unit on the fuel system. This is also a symptom in these years of a gauge cluster going bad. When you say moving up and down do you mean with motion or it is at a standstill just randomly changing the amount of gas that it registers? There are a number of parts that can create this effect They are listed here as well as a link to a forum with a wealth of knowledge on these issues from ford. Ford Forum of Fuel pump issues I would start with checking connections and then moving through the rest of the parts. Answer excerpt from ford forum " This issue has been known by Ford for at least 6 years. The purge valve gets stuck open. The resultant vacuum pulls in hard enough to buckle and collapse the plastic fuel tank, which also causes damage to the fuel pump (which is inside the tank, under the bed.). This condition can also result in fuel being drawn into the canister and soaking it in fuel. All of this...
Plus d'informationHey Abdul, It would help if you could be more specific, the coolant pipe is kind of a difficult one to make out. If possible please respond with the exact year, model and a picture of the location of where it is leaking and i will tell you what needs to be done to repair it. I can not tell if you are referring to a coolant hose, the thermostat housing or the water pump. Your question is a bit to general with not enough information. I will tell point you to this video for changing a coolant hose in the hopes this is what you are referring to and to make it faster for you to begin to repair. Please let me know the information I asked above and I can help you more. Replacing Coolant Hose Golf, VW, Audi I hope this helps!! Cheers! Moe
Plus d'informationHey Jess, A fuse that blows is a dead short something between that pedal and the tail lights is shorted. Let's start with the following. (1) If you put a new fuse in with the car running and don't touch the brake pedal and only activate the hazard switch does the fuse blow? Yes? check the hazard switch and connections. No? move on. (2) If you put in a new fuse with the car running and flip the turn signal does the fuse blow? No - Flip to the other side - Still no move on. Yes - check the connections and wiring surrounding the column for the turn signals. (2.1) If you put a new fuse in and everything works fine and you depress the brake pedal does is this the only time the fuse pops. No? Refer to diagram and prepare to start taking the additional crap out of that fuse box added by the last guy and running the test again. There is something touching ground somewhere and while there can be a million places to look narrowing it down is as simple as a flow chart. I used to work for Mickey Shore in my younger...
Plus d'informationGreetings Lodhi, There are a number of reasons for why an AC unit can leak water. In the grand scheme of things it is usually caused by one or more of the factors I am going to list below. (1) Plugged or semi plugged drain lines. ( Most Likely ) (2) High humidity location ( Likely ) (3) low freon ( not usually but can be a factor. ) The first steps to understanding why you ac is creating large amounts of condensation and leaking is to look at the drainline. Take the cover off of the unit and identify where the water drain pan or line is on the AC unit. Do you see large amounts of green algae or debris buildup in the line? if so and at the very least i always keep some algae tablets on hand these are typically placed in the pan and it is an algaecide the prevents algae from growing inside the pipe from the slow moving water. I also like to locate where it is supposed to be draining to the outside via the pipe or hose and use a strong shop vac that is ok to use with with water to suck out any and all water...
Plus d'informationThat looks like it could be off of the EGR solenoid. It also looks like you had a minor fire that caused that damage. It might be a good idea to check the fuse box and see if you can identify if the fuse has blown due to that short that caused that connector to burn like that. I am attaching a link to the complete wiring diagram for your model and year. This is a comprehensive guide. If possible could you take some larger pictures of the engine bay and include some photos of behind the injectors and around the distributor. and also perhaps take some either acetone or some cleaner and give us a better view of the wire colors. Its difficult to make out the exact colors i am looking for in the schematics from the pictures you posted. Link: 1988 Chevy Light truck Schematics and wiring. I would download and save this. You are gonna need it. I'm happy to help as much as I can, Also perhaps give us some idea what you have done so far to troubleshoot the no starting issue. Cheers!! Moe
