Those replacement drives won’t work because the ssd that Apple uses in those models are proprietary.. also please make sure that your model has either a fusion drive or an ssd otherwise the m.2 socket will not be soldiered on the board..
Totally agreed with everything said here.. my personal system is the 15”, i7 2.6ghz, nvidia, 16gb, 2x 1tb ssd.. yes you can swap out mainboard for faster cpu and higher end gpu.. careful with connectors as they sometimes get brittle with age.. I swapped my board out awhile ago, got it from eBay but did loads of research before.. I’m fearful as to when it fails though as I really don’t know what I’m replacing it with as I’m really not a fan of the new lines of mbp.. i mean they are gorgeous, but no way near practical imo..
Because the restore image is probably corrupted.. If it’s windows 10, download the iso direct from Microsoft, create a bootable usb drive and reload from scratch.. most times that’s a better install that a factory restore..
Many things could be going on here.. If you’ve already performed these: http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1379 http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3964 Then the next thing that I’d look at is attempting to run a full Apple Hardware Test.. for this model, I think it’s a 2009 you may need your original 2nd disk, but you can google that.. Another thing to look at if all that passes is your repair permissions under disk utility..
From what you describe it sounds as if the mainboard has failed.. if the cpu fan spins when ac Adapter is connected and you press the power button then a simple test would be to remove the ram and press the power button.. if you get error beeps then that means at least the mainboard is communicating with bios, if nothing then unfortunately it may be dead..
Sounds as if the lvds cable going from your mainboard to the lcd is failing.. if the system is rebooting randomly I’ll also advise looking at your gpu.. that model was known for failure along those lines..
