put pressure on the screen in different directions, if the screens lines don’t move it is either the lcd failing or you need a new connecting ribbon for the connection to the MOBO. Last time this happened to my laptop, i replaced the ribbon and it worked perfectly
Some updates seem to kill electronics, best course of action after your diagnostics is to replace the MOBO and make sure every connection is seated correctly, very gentle and moisture/dust free. also test the battery and charger after the new MOBO install
