The ecobee SmartThermostat with VoiceControl has the model number EB-STATE05-01. It was released June 3, 2019 at $249 (USD). It is one of the smaller versions that they have released, at 4.29 x 4.29 x 1 inches. It has a wireless sensor, as opposed to the wired sensor that the two earliest models had. This device is similar in design to its predecessors

There are no reported recalls on this device currently. The ecobee company was recently bought out by Generac, a Canadian home automation company.

The ecobee SmartThermostat with VoiceControl and other ecobee smart thermostats all look very similar, with small differences in between them. This device has a rounded white back and black display, while similar models have a flat silver back and black display. This device includes a smart sensor in the box, while previous models do not. It is also equipped with Siri and Amazon Alexa capabilities, while previous models are not. To identify the model number of the thermostat on the thermostat, tap the screen and then tap the hamburger menu button (3 parallel horizontal lines in a stack). Tap "About". The steps are the same for the app.
