I was wondering what the best procedure for display adhesive application is, because I've had trouble with it and it usually comes unstuck after a few weeks.
any help and advice is appreciated.

Hi
I find when applying adhesive that pressing it down with a spudger heads it adhere better
Also cleaning the surface with isopropyl alcohol beforehand can help too
In some cases and situations a little heat can help the device seal when it’s all closed up not a lot of heat but a little

Absolutely agree on this one, that's what I do.
1) Clean mounting surface, making sure to remove all the old adhesive using alcohol.
2) Place adhesive on chassis lightly till it's situated in place. Go around the edges and press them down firmly with a spudger.
3) Remove top liner and put screen in place. Press it around the edges firmly, then install the Pentalobe screws.
4) Turn the phone face down on a flat surface then put some weight on it. I have a motorcycle-sized lead acid battery I use. Leave it that way for a while; probably doesn't take all that long but I leave it overnight just for good measure.
Haven't had an issue with a screen coming loose using this method so far.
