Screen is black, shows menu and pictures I've taken

I am on a bicycle trip through South East Asia, in Thailand right now and I need 🙏🏼 my camera 🙏🏼.

My mobile isn't able to take good pictures 🙈.

I was on a trip through the Jungle took pictures... sometimes the lens needs awfully long to show a sharp picture or shows it for a moment and goes back to blurry when pushing the button. Changed battery and the screen turned black. If I try to take a photo nothing shows on the screen only the menu options and the pictures I have already taken are displayed.

I reset to default settings but nothing changed.

I am very happy and thankful 🙏🏼 for every help 😊.

Given that you're traveling, you may have to either find a camera repair service or buy a new (or used) camera and use it until you can get to fix this one.

It seems as though there's a problem with the lens/cmos sensor unit in the camera. The supplier linked is only an example to show the part, you may find other suppliers that suit you better.

Here's the ifixit Canon PowerShot SX50 HS Motherboard Replacement guide that will help to gain access to the lens/sensor unit
