The microphone on these seem to die easily.

I have two of these Eufy 2K Doorbells and both had their microphone failing after about a year of use. I unpaired one of them a now that one is useless since it can not pair anymore without the microphone. Anyone any suggestion if this can be repaired? Eufy can't deliver a spare microphone.

I think the microphone sits at the top, above the camera. Does somebody know for sure which part is the microphone?

I have had this problem with 3 previous EUFY doorbells. At almost a year on every one, the microphone dies.

Ok so for those struggling with this issue, i took the little rubber cover off what i found out to be a surface mount condenser mic 6c03 1w22. I then put the 2 boards together with the push on pin connector but didnt screw anything up. I then went through the sync process and held the circuitry to the homebase... Successfully added!! It is the mics that are faulty here and it may well be that you would still have audio issues trying to hear outside, or maybe not.. 🙂 Ill keep it posted. Ive pressed on the pads of the mic incase they're loose, not going to try resoldering, only if i was replacing it and i only found similar mics online, not the exact one.

Thank you Mark for putting up the info pointing the way to the microphone.

Removing the rubber cover off didn't work for me but instead i replaced my microphone. If you like to tinker or know a tinkerer, you will need to replace the microphone that's soldered onto the board just as "MarkEwick" has said/displayed above. I replaced my microphone on my Eufy Doorbell with this following microphone:

It now works like new again. It is surface mounted so tools needed ideally would be use of a hot air gun and some solder paste. (You probably could do it with just plain solder and a soldering iron but i took the more delicate approach). Took me roughly 20 minutes from start to finish/test.

I also came across another thread on here that almost shows you how to disassemble right down to where the microphone is and is useful.

(Eufy Video Doorbell 2k (Battery-Powered) Teardown - iFixit), after Step 6 you'll need to remove the remaining screws that hold the circuit board down / IR camera down and flip it to get to the microphone as pictured in Marks

Hope this helps anyone.
