It looks like it's a cable as in Step 10 here: [guide|71815]

This one's actually a Toshiba, if it makes you feel better. Step 7, middle picture: [guide|7598]

Basically, it's likely not soldered down but do be careful when unplugging it. The pictures above should give some idea of how to do it, but I'd also say to throw in some patience.
