This repair guide should only be used if all other options have been exhausted and the tablet's speakers still has no sound when in use. Before attempting to replace any of the speakers make sure the unresponsive speaker is not experiencing a software issue.

Power off device. Place it face down. Unscrew the 4 perimeter screws, using a PH000 screwdriver from iFixit kit

Using a plastic opening tool or metal spudger, begin to gently pry the rear case down and away from the display.Slowly wiggle the tool up and down to pry open the tablet.Once the rear case is fully removed place it to the side.

Tweezers

Using tweezers carefully remove tape that is holding the black and red intertwined cables to the motherboard. Place tape to the side as is will be needed for reassembly.

Remove the 2 screws holding the speaker to the front panel. Use a PH000 screwdriver from iFixit kit. Place the screws to the side as they will be needed for reassembly.
