If the volume of your Vizio SmartCast Crave 360 (model SP50-DP) is not responding to the movement of the speaker ring, use this guide to replace the speaker ring. The speaker ring utilizes a ball bearing and other moving objects to allow users to adjust the volume of their speaker.

Before replacing the speaker ring, consult the troubleshooting page to resolve any other possible issues that could be causing the volume to not work.

    • Place the speaker so that the speaker volume ring faces up.

    • Using the halberd spudger, pop off the metal disc that is connected to the speaker ring.

    • Remove the metal disc.

    • Ignore the small circuit board that is under the metal disc. It is not important for this replacement.

    • Remove the four 5mm screws that connect the inner bearing to the outer ring using a Phillips #000 screwdriver.

    • Take the outer ring and inner bearing off of the speaker.

    • Remove the outer ring from the inner bearing and plastic disc.

    • Remove the inner bearing from the plastic disc so that all three components of the speaker ring are separated.
