Remove display housing

  • The inner frame is thin and may be brittle, be careful when removing!

  • Remove the four (4) 8.4mm (BD) screws from the inside frame using a T6 Torx bit.

  • Remove the two (2) 8mm (BH) screws from the bottom left display bracket using a T6 Torx bit.

  • Remove the two (2) 5mm (BI) screws from the bottom right display bracket using a T6 Torx bit.

  • Lift off the left hinge cover before proceeding to the next step.

Retirer l'écran de l'ensemble

Le cadre de l’écran est fin et peut être fragile, faites attention en le retirant !

Retirez les quatre (4) vis de 8 mm du cadre de l’écran à l’aide d’un embout Torx T6.

Soulevez le cadre de l’écran par le bas. Il y a 4 clips à détacher sur le bord de l’écran.

Le dessus du cadre peut être collé à la partie extérieure du boitier de l’écran, donc après avoir détaché les clips sur le côté, vous devrez basculer le cadre pour l’éloigner de vous.

Soulevez le cadre et mettez-le de côté.

Basculez l’écran de façon à pouvoir voir le dessous. Retirez les quatre (4) vis de 7,5 mm en dessous à l’aide d’un embout Torx T6 pour détacher les charnières.

Sortez les charnières du boitier et mettez-les de côté, faites de même pour le guide métallique du clavier attaché à gauche.

Vous pouvez maintenant basculer l’écran et le retirer du boîtier.

-[* orange] Lift the inner housing from the bottom. There are 4 clips to dislodge on the edge of the screen.
-[* green] The top may be glued to the outer frame, so after you release the clips on the side, you'll want to tilt the inner frame away from you.
-[* black] Lift inner housing out and set aside.
-[* violet] Tilt the display so you can see the under side. Remove the four (4) 7.5mm screws from the bottom using a T6 Torx bit to release the hinges.
-[* light_blue] Life the hinges out from the top and set aside, along with the metal keyboard guide attached to the left.
-[* black] You can now tilt out and remove the display from the housing.
+[* red] Remove the four (4) 8.4mm (***BD***) screws from the inside frame using a T6 Torx bit.
+[* green] Remove the two (2) 8mm (***BH***) screws from the bottom left display bracket using a T6 Torx bit.
+[* violet] Remove the two (2) 5mm (***BI***) screws from the bottom right display bracket using a T6 Torx bit.
+[* yellow] Lift off the left hinge cover before proceeding to the next step.
