FPC Ribbon Detachment

  • Remove the black tape (in these pictures it has already been replaced by polyamide/kapton tape).

  • Gently unpeel the FPC ribbon cables from the body.

  • The stepper motor under the black tape is for the aperture iris.

  • Note the iris cable doesn't need to be removed unless you are disassembling the iris/stabilisation module. There is a blob of glue under the connector on the iris FPC. Rather than trying to unplug the connector it can be carefully pried up.
