The comments above don’t include an option for images. Replying to my comment above about the option to physically unplug the keyboard, the service manual doesn’t indicate which cables are which. This highlighted cable is most likely the keyboard cable. It is possible that the touchpad is also connected through that same cable, but on the next page I see what looks to be the touchpad cable separate.
Plus d'informationFirst, as it sounds like a work computer. Contact your IT. If they issued it to you, they commonly can take charge of a repair, often times by opening a warranty service ticket. Usb ports on this model are part of the systemboard. The whole systemboard would be replaced by Dell, either with onsite repair or a depot repair. Your organization may also have accidental damage protection. You need to tell them. Ports get worn out or damaged over time. So many end users don't tell IT for fear of getting in trouble, when IT may have a simple fix. (They'll probably give you a loaner pc, then deal with it themselves.) Resoldering the usb port may be an option, but if the repair doesn't work, then what will you tell IT? Dell actually provides disassembly instructions on the support site. Put in your service tag, choose documentation, then open the owners manual. https://dl.dell.com/topicspdf/latitude-11-3190-laptop_owners-manual_en-us.pdf
Plus d'informationI do warranty service for several OEMs including Lenovo. Is the laptop still under warranty? Did the case break around where it attaches to the hinge? There are cases where this separation occurs and it is not due to “customer induced damage" such as closing the screen on a pen or dropping it. I have done these repairs under warranty claims. I've had plastic layers split, threaded inserts break out of the case, etc. These are commonly seen as manufacturer defects. Put your serial number in on the lenovo support website. It will give you warranty status and I believe it also mentions if you have accidental damage protection. Many Lenovo screens are assembled with “commandstrip" type adhesive where the tech exposes the end of the strip, then pulls it out to remove the screen. If your actual screen is not cracked, you're probably looking at a bezel, lcd rear cover, hinges, adhesive strips. If the screen flickers when moving the hinges, you may need an LCD cable (sometimes called an edp or lvds cable) Parts...
Plus d'informationPlug it into your tv and take note of some of the videos that appear, and some that do not. Connect it back to your laptop and see if it seems like a certain file type isn't working. For example, your tv may play .mp4 videos but not .avi or .mpeg. This can also happen with images or audio clips. I may play a .mp3, but not a .wma or .wav. Or display a .jpg but not .png. Do you have access to the owners manual for the TV? It will typically list what files it supports. (It may also list other properties like a max resolution for an image or video as well.) You can also rule out the external hard drive by copying one video that you can see on your tv and one that you can't to a flash drive or another HDD. If the same videos are visible, it's likely your tv's limitations on file types, vs a hardware issue with the hard drive, flashdrive, etc. What make and model is the tv?

I have a specialty tool for the removal of the stem. It can gut more of the internals while keeping the upper round shape intact. Still causes damage, but you can hide it with whipped cream adhesive.
