looking for a better lens replacement

Hi,

I've got a Sony cybershot dsc-w120. it was a gift from someone hence i want to keep it instead of buying something new. And i have noticed that the pictures could be better detailed. Is it possible to replace the existing lens of this camera with a better lens? Would just be so relieved to know that the industry is doing its bit to 're-fit' existing models with improvements thereby reducing e-waste, preserving memories and helping us commoners have hope despite the use-and-throw-technology culture that we are so hooked onto.
