Hi,
You don’t apply thermal paste to the cooler fans as they are not directly in touch with the CPU or the GPU in your laptop.
Here’s the service manual taken from this support webpage for the laptop.
Go to p.55 to view the necessary pre-requisite steps and then the procedure to remove the fan and heat sink assembly.
This will allow to to refresh the thermal paste on the CPU and the discrete GPU which are mounted on the motherboard, underneath the heatsinks.
Search on YouTube to find out how to correctly clean off the old dried out thermal paste and then to apply the correct amount of new paste.
