I have been using my MacBook Air since 8 years, it has been having an issue with its keyboard and trackpad at the point where it stops responding while working. I have never spilled water or anything on it and this machine has no parts replaced and works great. If you heat it up it starts working once again, is it a hardware issue?

Its sounds like a hardware issue,
I think its the trackpad thats the problem,
the keyboard plugs in to the trackpad,
so i think its that

But how does it relate to the keyboard and trackpad being unresponsive?
@honda_fanboy - The battery swells which then presses on the cables and parts causing issues.
i guess it could be that
@danj Thanks, I am actually planning a battery replacement in less than 2 weeks because of shipping, the battery is currently at 916 cycles

I would check your battery, install this gem of an app! CoconutBattery take a snapshot of the apps main window and post it here for us to see Ajout d'images à une question existante

I had the same problem and it was just a little click in accessibility to fix it. Remove click on mouse keys to deactivate the issue of mouse keys and the keys are back in work 😀
