Why does the remote not work on my homcom A90-131V70

I don't know the treadmill and the user manual isn't specific but is there a LED light protruding (just) at the top edge of the remote control?

If there is then you won't see any light coming from it as it is an IR (infra red) LED light but you can see if it is working by using the camera in a mobile phone or by using a digital camera.

Open the phone's camera app and then point the remote towards the camera in the phone, so that you see the end of the remote with the LED light showing in the screen of the phone. When you press any button on the remote you should see a flickering light coming from the LED light when seen in the phone's screen.

If you do, press each button in turn and check if they all work or only some.

If you don't see the light at all, have you replaced the batteries in the remote?

If you have and it's still not working, then the remote is faulty.

Using a digital camera will also work to see the IR light coming from the remote control in the same way as above

If there isn't a LED light in the remote then it is a wireless remote so the problem could either be in the remote or the treadmill. I can't find a service or parts manual for the treadmill, but I've found this supplier¹ for the remote if you want to take a gamble on the problem being the remote and not the treadmill.
