Cuisinart DGB-650 Power Cord Not Retracting from Base

If your Cuisinart DGB-650 power cord is stuck or not retracting from the base of the coffeemaker, follow this troubleshooting guide.

Inspect the retracting mechanism for any visible debris or objects that might be blocking the cord from retracting.

If the cord is not retracting when you try pulling it out, try shimmying the wire back and forth while gently trying to pull it out and check if the wire gets unstuck.

Excessive pulling on the wire may cause the wire to knot up in the panel. Open the bottom panel by unscrewing the four screws and unknot the wire from there and feed the wire back into the hole.
