The "ADD WATER" Indicator Is On
The light labelled "ADD WATER" on the front side of the device is on.
The Ice Maker Is Out Of Water
Be sure to turn the ice maker off, then add water up to the maximum water level mark. The maximum water level mark is denoted by the characters "MAX" next to a line with an arrow in the center. These are located on the inside of the machine; after opening the lid on the top of the device, remove the ice basket; the markings are just below it on the side facing toward the interior of the machine. Add water to this compartment as instructed, then press the ON/OFF button to turn on the ice maker.
The "ICE FULL" Indicator Is On
The light labelled "ICE FULL" on the front side of the device is on.
The Ice Basket Is Full
Lift the lid on the top of the device and remove the ice from the ice basket.
The Ice Cubes Stick Together
The ice cubes stick together and form chunks rather than coming out as regular ice cubes.
The Ice Making Cycle Is Too Long
Stop the ice maker and wait for the ice to melt. Restart the ice maker after selecting SMALL sized ice cubes with the SELECT button on the front of the device.
The Water Temperature Is Too Cold
In this case, replace the water with warmer water. Refer to "The ADD WATER Indicator Is On" for instructions on how to do this. The water temperature should be between 40° F - 90° F (4.44° C - 32.2° C) in order for the device to function properly.
The Ice Maker Runs A Normal Cycle But No Ice Is Formed
After running the machine through a standard cycle, there is no ice in the basket.
The Room Temperature Or Water Temperature Is Too High
In order for your ice machine to function properly, the room temperature should be between 50°F-105° F (10°-40.6° C), and the water temperature should be between 40° F - 90° F (4.44° C - 32.2° C). Following these guidelines should alleviate the problem.
The Ice Maker Will Not Stop Making Ice
The machine continues to make ice even though it has already run through a standard cycle
Direct Or Reflected Sunlight Can Cause The Sensor To Malfunction
It is recommended to move the ice maker to a darker location where it will not be affected by sunlight or reflected sunlight.

Just got mine and it says “ice full" when it is empty..wouldn't start up..googled it and it said to hold the select button down for 10 seconds it tried to work but then said add water.added more water held down select button its doing something now but still says ice full..probably going to return this..

There are two little sensors above the basket, one on either side. They look like tiny little lights. Make sure those are clean. If they have any kind of mineral buildup on them they think they're seeing ice and will tell you your bin is full.

Will we eventually have to refill Freon on this?

No. It will stop working well before the Freon is gone. Usaually, the pump will fail. Good luck finding a repalcement pump.

RECENT PURCHASE
I recently purchased the Insignia-26lb- Portable Ice Maker. February 2019 matter of fact. I received many compliments from family and friends of this product. I was very pleased myself.
Now, this past week this machine makes the most hideous sound. The sound is periodically but a nuisance .
The Ice Maker still produces ice however, February 2019 and already? I must of missed reading previous reviews if posted prior to my purchase.
I’m so disappointed. Now the headache of replacement .

good luck getting best buy to take it back. unless you have a warranty on it. I had my first one 7 days. It took me 3 days to get them to take it back and give me another. Then I had TO BUY THE Warranty because I had already found out I might have problems with it. Again I am having to take it back. But I will bet a million they will give me a hard time even with the warranty.

We bought this Icemaker only 3 months ago and it started malfunctioning regularly everyday like its got a mind of its own or maybe the devil in it! Noisy, only making ice when it wants to, giving me a complete headache! How disappointing! Can't get support, can't take it back! I'm at a loss!

My ice marker also a couple months ago started making a loud noise when pumping water up to freeze is there a replacement pump that can be purchased?

This unit will make a clicking sound if the fan is loose. To fix, unplug and drain the water and dry; turn unit over and remove the bottom screws for back half; take off the rear half cover; remove the 4 screws from the fan; clean fan and press blade unit back in (it is magnetic); I disconnected the hose from the pump and blew air through it to make sure there were no obstructions; reassemble (may need help to get cover under top while installing screws). Turn right side up and let unit rest an hour for Freon to settle. Plug in, add water and pray. This worked for me for the clicking sound and the unit ran for another week, but I think the pump is bad. I can not find a replacement pump on line.

this is the second machine I had problems with the first I took back and was given this one. I have not even had it but 9 months and not it won’t fill up and the ICE filled light blinks. (with nothing in the basket) I m handicapped and it is hard for me to carry this . NOT right that I have to go through all this and hire someone to carry it back and forth from the store. Igloo works much better and next time I will buy one from them. VERY UNSATISFIED. I will warn all NEVER to buy this product.

I took mine back and they replaced it but 6 months later more problems. this time it will not fill, NEVER will I buy this product again. I paid almost $300 from best buy I got a warranty and everything but Best buy is crap for honoring it. Never buy this product You will be sorry.
