I was hoping to resurrect this post with the same problem except I a missing one component (resistor/inductor) to the side of the three in a row.
See pic of the specific one in a working machine vs the non working (fan at 100% full time). Would really be grateful if someone could point me to the part number or part type and value.

if you have access to a working machine that you can open and run check to see if you can find the specs of that specific part and then shop around for something in the ifixit store with the same specs provided it has the same dimensions. otherwise if full fan spin is all that changes you could just leave it and use it with full fan spin i know some people would kill to have a mac mini with better fan curve right about now.

Keither Lampitt not sure if it is my old eyes or are those two images the same? Where exactly is the part that is missing?
