So I just replaced the SSD in my Macbook to a OWC Aura N2 480GB but I can’t seem to boot to disk utility. I am running Catalina btw. It keeps coming up with the folder with a question mark icon.
Now my keyboard is a bit faulty so some of the keys don’t work, I’ve connected an external keyboard but I still cannot get it to boot into disk utility.
Any help would be appreciated.

You’ll need to create a bootable OS USB thumb drive using a second Mac or put your original working drive back in so you can then set it up. Get the OS from here How to download and install macOS and follow this TN on converting the installer once you copy it to a GUID formatted drive follow this Create a bootable installer for macOS Then use it to boot up the system.
Your keyboard issue might be a bad keyboard cable connection at the logic board make sure it’s properly seated. Also a damaged trackpad cable can mess up the keyboard as well.

Hey thank you, this worked! I ended up using an external ssd to install catalina and all went smoothly. I did replace the trackpad/keyboard cable a couple of months ago and the new cable turned out to be a bit longer than the original, so it presses up against the case when you shut it, I think this is why certain keys aren’t responding. Not sure how I could remedy that.
Try to hold only the command (Alt) key on start up and it should bring you to the internet recovery mode

Sadly Internet recovery won’t work here! The macOS offered will be Sierra which doesn’t offer the need PCIe/NVMe drivers the OWC drive requires and the file system won’t recognize the newer APFS volume either.
