Quand la gâchette est enfoncée, rien ne se passe.
La batterie est défectueuse
Si la clé à choc ne fonctionne pas lorsque la gâchette est enfoncée, vérifiez dans un premier temps si votre batterie n'est pas défectueuse. Retirez la batterie en bas de votre appareil et branchez-la au chargeur de batterie.
Mauvais contacts entre la batterie et le port de l'appareil
Si vous êtes certain que votre batterie est chargée, vérifiez alors si les contacts sous votre appareil sont sales ou oxydés. Si c'est le cas, nettoyez-les avec une brosse et du nettoyant contact.
Les charbons sont sales ou usés
Avec le temps, les charbons de votre appareil s'usent et se salissent, au point que votre appareil peut cesser de fonctionner. Dans ce cas, l'ensemble des charbons doit être remplacé.
Le bloc gâchette est en cause
Si la batterie et les contacts sont en bon état de fonctionnement, et que les charbons sont propres et fonctionnels, alors le coupable est probablement le bloc gâchette. Remplacez-le.
Le moteur est défectueux
Si les contacts de la batterie, les charbons et le bloc gâchette sont tous fonctionnels, alors vous devez remplacer le moteur.
Le moteur surchauffe
La visseuse à choc cesse de fonctionner après quelques minutes, et la coque au niveau du moteur est chaude au toucher.
Les charbons sont sales ou usagés
Si le moteur devient vraiment très chaud au toucher, il s’agit sûrement de charbons sales ou usagés. Remplacez l’ensemble charbon.
La batterie ne veut pas charger
Quand la batterie est placée dans le chargeur, la diode d’état de charge ne s’allume pas.
Contacts sales ou oxydés
Contrôlez les contacts sur la batterie et le dessous de l’appareil. Si les contacts sont sales ou oxydés, nettoyez-les avec une brosse et du nettoyant contact.
La batterie est défectueuse
Si vous avez chargé la batterie et que la clé à choc ne fonctionne pas, testez la batterie avec un voltmètre. Placez la borne positive sur le contact positif et la borne négative sur le contact négatif. Si vous ne voyez pas approximativement 20 volts sur l’écran de votre voltmètre, il y a des chances que la batterie soit défectueuse. Remplacez la batterie par une nouvelle.
Le chargeur est défectueux
Si vous posez la batterie sur le chargeur et que celui-ci ne charge pas la batterie, mais qu’un chargeur différent fonctionne, alors votre chargeur est sûrement défectueux. Remplacez le chargeur.
La diode lumineuse ne fonctionne pas
Quand l’appareil est fonctionnel, mais la diode lumineuse ne s’allume pas.
Mauvaise connexion avec l’ensemble gâchette
Ouvrez l’appareil et vérifiez les connexions qui partent du moteur jusqu’à l’ensemble gâchette. Si les connexions semblent déconnectées, reconnectez-les. Si les câbles sont endommagés, remplacez-les.
L’ensemble gâchette est défectueux
Déconnectez la gâchette, retirez-la et remplacez-la par une nouvelle.
Le sélecteur de direction est coincé
Avec beaucoup d’utilisation, les outils peuvent accumuler poussières et débris.
De la poussière ou des débris sont présents dans l’appareil
Retirez le sélecteur de direction et vérifiez la présence de poussière ou débris. Retirez toute poussière ou débris présents dans le sélecteur et réinstallez-le.
Le sélecteur de direction est cassé
Retirez le sélecteur de direction et remplacez-le par un nouveau.
Les embouts glissent dans le mandrin
Les embouts ne restent pas sécurisés dans le mandrin. Quand l’appareil est utilisé, les embouts glissent.
Les embouts ne sont pas correctement sécurisés dans le mandrin
Retirez les embouts et inspectez le mandrin à la recherche d'éventuels dégâts. S’il n’y a aucun dommage, réinstallez l’embout et sécurisez-le correctement dans le mandrin.
Le mandrin est endommagé ou cassé
Retirez le mandrin du reste de l’appareil et remplacez-le par un nouveau.

I have a DCF885 that is slipping when you try to put a screw into wood, & also in reverse. it smells similar to a clutch slipping. Other than that, it runs great until you need to do something.
any ideas would be great.

Hardly used DeWalt impact won’t work after you release the trigger. The only way it will work again is to remove the battery and reattach

Your light is probably staying on while not in use and heats the battery. Mine is doing the same thing.

Hello, I hope someone can help, need to order parts but not sure what part I need. I have a DCF885 impact drill. I know my brushes need changing getting sparks sometimes and smell now and then. My main problem is that the day before I tried taking off a nut from my SUV with a fully charged battery but the Dewalt kept on slipping chuck works fine motor runs fine it’s like its skipping and not grabbing is it the gears?? I need to order. please if anyone can help it would be much appreciated. thanks, Bill…

My dog chew on my DCF885 type 5 and i am able to replace the housing and everything will be fine, but the power switch of the switch assembly is gone,
Is it possible to find only the switch and attach it back or must i replace the whole switch assembly which is working perfectly?

My DCF885 Dewalt ONLY operates at a 10th of the power. Contacts are clean - light is bright - battery is fully charged and checked with other tools.
Any suggestions? Besides buying a new one.

My DCF885 is pretty new and was working fine. During some work, it just stopped. When I pull the trigger, the LED's blink once - and nothing happens. Changing batteries does not help and it makes no noise. I can manually turn the shaft forward and backward, but pulling the trigger only blinks the LEDs one time. I just replaced the clamshell on my dcf885 impact driver, now I noticed the forward/reverse selector goes the opposite direction for e.g when I push in the selector on the right side it should go forward, it doesn't it goes reverse, same when I push in on the left side it should go reverse but it goes forward, was it something I switched when I put it back together?
