If you yank the battery gently using the pick or plastic card before prying it up, you might not need to use the adhesive remover.

Double-sided adhesive should do the trick. For example 2mm Universal 3M Adhesive Tape should be preferred to glue.

It doesn't look like it, but this is a tricky step. The bracket is a small and fragile part, easily broken (happened to me), even when using the right tool, and almost impossible to repair. Make sure to go easy when grabbing it!

To turn the device off, turn the rightmost knob counterclockwise, not the leftmost one (which controls the volume).

The "millimeter tape fix" has been working fine for about a week, but now I'm back to square one: still no sound at the other end. I ordered a new hard cover but still to no avail... And Fairphone is still out of microphone modules. I'm out of options, I guess I'll just send my FP2 for repair, hoping it won't take too long.
