The Dell Precision 5540 was announced in 2019 by Dell Technologies. It is one of Dell's 4th Generation Precision mobile workstation models.
Dell workstation computers are known as Precision workstations. The Precision line features both fixed workstation computers and mobile workstations. There are three lines of Precision mobile workstations available: the 3000 Series, 5000 Series, and 7000 Series. The 5000 Series is promoted for its light weight, small size, and ability to run applications such as Adobe Creative.
Major features of the Precision 5540 are its design, display, storage and cooling abilities, performance, and built-in software optimization. The device is advertised for business/professional use.
The Precision 5540 is no longer featured on Dell's Precision mobile workstations website. However, a refurbished model from Dell starts at $709.00
